In terms of battery life, larger screens and folding mechanisms can lead to higher energy consumption. This means users need to be prepared for the possibility of shorter battery life or having to carry a charger more often. As a user who prioritizes mobility and device durability, this is quite a disturbing factor. Beyond personal reasons, I also note that foldable screen technology is still in an ongoing development stage. Many manufacturers have launched foldable smartphones, but continuous improvements are still needed to address issues such as easily visible creases on the screen, hinge damage after prolonged use, and touch screen sensitivity. Therefore, I prefer to wait until the technology is truly mature and more stable before considering a purchase. Lastly, I also consider the resale value aspect of the device. Because the iPhone Fold is a new, high-risk product, it's likely that its used selling price will depreciate quite quickly if technical problems arise or if foldable screen technology is not yet widely accepted. As a consumer who is looking at long-term investments, this factor is very important to consider. In conclusion, even though the iPhone Fold rumors are increasingly tempting and offer interesting innovations, I chose not to buy the device when it first launched. The high price factor, less than optimal practicality, the challenges of folding screen technology, as well as considerations of durability and resale value were the main reasons for my decision.
